Our Story | Rising Moon Ranch Near Zion National Park
Long before Rising Moon Ranch came to life, the dream had already taken root.
Growing up, founder Emily spent her summers exploring Southern Utah’s red rock country, where generations of pioneer heritage, wide-open landscapes, and the quiet beauty of the desert instilled a lifelong love for the American West. Those early experiences shaped her appreciation for craftsmanship, hospitality, family, and the enduring connection between people and the land. Though life took her around the world for many years, those memories never left, eventually calling her home to Southern Utah.
In 2019, that lifelong dream became Rising Moon Ranch—a place where others could experience the same sense of wonder, belonging, and peace that first captured Emily’s heart as a child.
Today, Emily and her husband, Justin, a U.S. veteran, continue to thoughtfully steward their 23-acre ranch near Zion National Park alongside their family. Together, they have created more than a destination—they have created a place where guests can slow down, celebrate life’s milestones, learn timeless traditions, gather beneath extraordinary night skies, and experience the authentic spirit of the American West.
At Rising Moon Ranch, every stay, celebration, and shared experience becomes part of a story—one rooted in heritage, inspired by the land, and created to be passed on for generations.
